A foam release killed one person and left multiple firefighters injured during an incident Sunday at an airport in Wilmington, Ohio.

FOX 19 reported that the release of fire suppression foam at Hanger 1006 in Wilmington Air Park killed Tim Law, 55, a production supervisor in the heavy maintenance department. Wilmington (OH) firefighters responded to the scene and arrived at 1:56 p.m. to begin search operations but had to withdraw on account of unsafe conditions, according to Clinton County Public Information Officer Pam Bauer. Two people two people were trapped in a car and one in an office during the incident. It is unknown what triggered the fire suppression foam to release, but it was not a fire, Bauer said.

During the response, two Maydays were declared and eight firefighters sustained injuries, including eye and electrical injuries. All responders have since been released.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal is investigating.
